Favourites

Ok so generation six of Pokemon has been announced, and everyone is probably throwing all kinds of speculation and wild ideas at each other and the walls and seeing what sticks and what was lie.  I'm going to put my thoughts here because I'm assuming no one will see them anyway (chances are I will make an ass of myself now)

The New Reigon

Ok so from what we saw with pikachu in the beginning and the in-game lookalike of the eiffel tower, I think the it can be safe to assume the new games will either be based on France or Europe as a whole.
Not much else is known about the region itself, other than...The Gyms! These are kinda important in pokemon games and we still don't know anything about these either bar what was seen in that one trailer but I think there will be both a grass type gym and a bug type gym along with either a psychic or a ghost type gym based two seconds of footage. There will also be a fire type E4 member or it will be a gym leader with a love of pyrotechnics (Either way they will have flare).

The (new) Pokemon

This section will mostly be about the new pokemons' types than the mons themselves.  First up, the starters!

Chespin
Chespin is some kind of squirrel? or maybe a woodchuck?  I'm not good with real world animals.  Anyway back on topic, what I want to bring to bring to the table is that in the trailer, this little grass type used what appeared to be Night Slash on a Golurk, this suggests that it might have or will gain Dark type attributes at some point in its evolution cycle (Or at least really sharp teeth/claws).

Fennekin
Ah yes, the fan favourite of the three starters. Moving on.  Fennekin reminds me of Vulpix in alot of ways: it's based on a fox, it has a fire typing, it can use psychic type moves, it'll probably get more tails when it evolves.
Backtracking: It can use psychic type moves.  First things first, This, that little detail might be a sign probably-obscured-by-clouds that this fire starter might not have fighting type DNA in it's blood/coding, the first in what three? four? generations of pokemon?  Anyway this pokemon will probably be a fire-psychic typing once it's fully evolved.

Froakie
I...don't have much to say on this guy, I really don't, all I can say is that based on its design, Froakie may gain an ice typing but I doubt it (I don't want it to)

Legendary Pokemon

Xerneas
This deer will have a psychic typing, its appearance screams it!  Also I bet it learns Zen Headbutt, he totally looks like he could pull it off. I'm kinda expecting the legendary mascots of this generation to have genders, either set ones or up in the air until you meet them.

Yveltal
The Y-chromosome Wyvern-bird mon.  I'm thinking this will be primarily a Flying type with either a dark or dragon typing.  As having parallels with Xerneas go I'm guessing this will be the offensive behemoth to Xerneas' defensive tanking abilities.  Mind you this waaaaaay too early to be saying who is stronger than who, who who is best 'mon and all that stuff.

Anyway that's my opinion on what little we've seen of the sixth generation of pokemon, I'm going to throw this at the internet and see if it rolls right under the radar.
